Music Recommendations
Music literally kept me from committing the big no no when I was a depressed,repressed teenager who hated their life so I'll be sharing some of the artists who were my lifeline in the most literal sense.
The artists that I have featured in excruciating detail are simply those whose music came to my life at a certain period in my life.I dabble in other genres but these are the artists that consistently remain in my rotation no matter the mood,ocassion or whether I get handed the aux (never happened)

BTS came to me at a time I was at my lowest and I mean this in the literal sense.My school life was shit and my home life had just turned from bad to worse and whats worse I was 14 and dealing ith all the 'wonderful' changes that adolescence forces on young people.So yeah I was down and out of my luck then my friend introduced me to Save Me and hook,line and sinker I fell for a man seven years older than me with dimpled cheeks and a warm smile.
K-pop fan spaces do not help with entertaining parasocial behaviour but also neitehr do the cooperations that exploit on them so yes I was a bit parasocial and the concept of Namjoon being in love with anyone that wasn't me filled me with dread for the first 2 years of my life but I gradually accepted it and now despite not being as active,i still casually listen and enjoy their music.Looking back it was almost like coming home to big brothers who would comfort you that inspite the darkness of the world there are still some bright spots worth looking out for.

I also think as solo artists they have managed to evolve past their group voice and managed to create their own unique sounds that have managed to garner their own type of personal fans which I think is really beautiful.Some of my favourite solo Albums are

If you're going through a rough time.I think a bit of indulgence in this sickening sweet genre of music is sometimes half the cure you need!

This century's Superstar, Beyonce had managed to survive her peers and influence the next generation of musicians in a way that few can ever imagine.I mean she changed the industry with not only that digital drop but also so much more and continues to push the best form of music to us without much struggle.

EDEN
I love Eden's music.I listened to him during my high school years and his music was a great source of comfort during the time especially when I would be writing essays or needed a soothing voice to listen to whenever I felt down.
I'm yet to listen to his new music but his No Future album is so perfectly cohesive that I can;t wait to dive into his newer works to see what he has been able to sonically improve on.
Hozier
Maybe I was cooler as a teen idk but Wasteland Baby! was constantly on repeat in my cracked spotify apk app(back then it was so easy to find good spotify cracked now they've locked it so hard I just pay)I was reintroduced to Hozier's music by my close friend, T ,who explained how their new album was so so goood.I'd only listened to "Take me to church" so when I heard Wasteland Baby! imagine how gut punching it was to listen to a full body of his work.
Chenayder
I was introduced to her music through tiktok.I listened to Blue Oblivion and all the previous singles but haven't kept up with her discography as of late unfortunately.Her music is so carthatic.Almost like the end of something.Her soulful voice rings out in all songs and I will admit I have cried to half of her songs.
Pink Patheress
She's a common artist of my most liked songs (I dont make playlists they make me feel weird.)I've definetly listened to all her albums and despite how short her songs seem to be,her new mixtape Fancy That proves that she values quantity over quality.I think my favourite song from her is Take Me Home and I remember my wraapped that year informed me that I played the song 95 times throughout the whole of 2023.
Jaden Smith
My childhood crush! Jaden Smith is one of those nepo babies that are corny in a good way.I've always been a fan of his artistic expessions and despite the slack he gets for his music there are geunine gems if you look into some of his music in an artistic sense.He's slightly experimental but if you're into trap and neo rnb you'd really enjoy his music.I definetely enjoyed his ERYS album and CTV Vol 3. album though I haven't specifically looked into his discography before and after those specific albums
